2025-26 Iowa Rockafeller (Elementary School; grades K-5) championship! 

The winner qualifies for the National Rockefeller Tournament in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Note that if there is a tie after 5 rounds, a sudden death blitz playoff will occur.

Please note that there is a new tournament this year and K-3 are suggested to enter that

The winner qualifies for the National Ashley Tournament in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Note that if there is a tie after 5 rounds, a sudden death blitz playoff will occur.

Entry Fee:  $20 online $30 onsite

A stipend (amount to be determined at the IASCA Annual Meeting) will be awarded to the player after attending all rounds of the National Event and turning in all games notated, one game must be annotated, and a 2 paragraph (minimum) story of attending the National Event to Cassidy Noble for publication in the IASCA quarterly chess Journal "En Passant" 

 

All four tournaments will occur simultaneously at Faith Lutheran Church in Marion Iowa on the corner of Alburnet and Boyson roads.
