Main event information

  • All information about Byes, Ratings, Schedules, Time Controls, and more can be found on the main event website
• Entry Fees:
  • $155 by 11:59pm ET July 13, 2026, then
  • $185 by July 27, 2026, and then
  • $220 after July 27, 2026, online and on-site until 3:00pm ET, Monday, August 3, 2026; afterwards, all entries must go to Chess Control on-site
  • All entries must be made at least 2 hours before your first game is played, or player will receive a bye for their first round.
  • GMs and WGMs play free; no deduction from prize
  • Re-entries: $100.
  • No phone or mail-in entries
• Schedule Options
  • 7-Day Schedule - Rounds 1-9 at 40/100, SD/30, +30
  • 5-Day Schedule - Rounds 1-5 at G/90 d5, Rounds 6-9 at 40/100, SD/30, +30
  • 4-Day Schedule - Rounds 1-6 at G/60 d5, Rounds 7-9 at 40/100, SD/30, +30
