Registration Corrections and Changes

Please verify the information you have entered before submitting the registration. For example, some browsers with persistent "autofill" tools may overwrite a participant's name with the name of the person completing the registration.

If you must make a change to a registration:

To make a change/correction, do not email. During the busiest times, we can receive several hundred emails per day, and “dumb data” like an email is easily missed. This is why we use organized forms for changes and for withdrawals.

Go to https://cavechess.cc/change, to process changes.

There is a $5 fee for each (set of) changes. You can make as many changes as needed in each set.  Take advantage of this, because there is a $5 charge per set of changes.

Making changes is a manual process, and is often not done until the day of the tournament. At the site is the time to verify your requested change has been made.

We recently upgraded our software.  This change has temporarily left us not emailing confirmations. This will be added soon.

Withdrawals

If you must withdraw from an event:

Go to https://cavechess.cc/withdraw and fill out the form to withdraw. Emails will be ignored. Just like before, emails can easily be missed, so we do this via online forms.

DO NOT email us and ask about the status of the withdrawal.  If you have filled out the form, you are withdrawn.

Processing withdrawals is a manual process, and is often not done until the day of the tournament. At the site is the time to verify your requested change has been made.

Refunds

If you withdraw after an event has started, even if you have not participated, no refund is available, as plans were made for your participation and related costs may have already been incurred.

Go to Terms and Conditions for the entire policy. Here are important points:

Processing refunds is secondary to running the event without a hitch.

If you do not see the withdrawal on the online systems, do not resubmit it. Withdrawals must be processed manually.

While we aim to issue refunds sooner, our policy is to pay within 10 business days following the event.

In our standard refund policy, refunds incur a fee as follows:

For registrations $20 and below, a $5 fee

For registrations from $20.01 to $60, a $10 fee

For registrations above $60, a $15 fee.
