Format: 4-round Swiss Style tournament

Time Controls: G/25 with 5 second delay

Four Sections:

• Open (1600 and up)
• U1600 (1200-1599)
• U1200 (800-1199)
• U800 (799 and under)

      *Players with 100 points of rating floor of a higher section may play up for an additional $5

Important:

• All sections USCF dual-rated (Quick and Regular Rating)
• USCF membership required (may join or renew here: Join USCF or renew or on site)
• May 2025 USCF Regular and/or Quick ratings (the higher of the two) will be used for section eligibility, pairings, and prize eligibility. The decision of the Chief Tournament Director regarding eligibility, rating adjustments, conversions, unofficial ratings, or other rating issues are final.
• A maximum of two half-point byes are available. Half-point byes for rounds 1-2 must be requested no later than 30 minutes before the start of tournament. Half-point byes for rounds 3-4 must be requested before the start of round 2. Any byes requested may not be revoked after round 2 starts.
• Boards, sets, clocks, scoresheets, and writing utensils will be provided for all sections.

Prizes:

• Open & U1600:   1st -- 25%, 2nd -- 15%, 3rd -- 10% Cash Prizes
• U1200 & U800: 1st -- 15% Cash Prize + Trophy, 2nd -- Trophy, 3rd -- Trophy

      *   Participants can choose to redeem cash prizes for cash or credit to go to future tournament entry

Schedule: Round times -> Rd 1: 10:00 AM, Rd 2: 11:05 AM, Rd 3: 12:10 PM, Rd 4: 1:15 PM

Entry Fees: $25.00 by Wed, May 7th; $30.00 by Fri, May 9th; $35.00 on-site Sun, May 11th

Online Registration: Chess Emporium Sunday Swiss G/25
Online registration is available until 11:59 PM MST Sat, May 10th.
On-site registration is until 9:30 AM on May 11th.
Late on-site registration is available with half-point byes for any rounds that are missed.

Refunds: Refunds may be requested until one hour before the start of round 1. No refunds will be given after that time. All refunds will incur a 5% processing fee.
