2026 Kansas Class Championships
State Class Championship Event

$50 by March 21
                        $70 late/onsite entry.

You may play up one class for an additional $20, either onsite or online

Format:       4 Rounds Swiss Paring; Classes: M-X, A, B, C, D, E and below.

The TD reserves the right to combine sections.

Time Control: G/60 with d/5

Schedule:  No need to check in if you have already registered online
                   Saturday: On-site Registration 8:30-9:15 AM;

Rd 1 - 9:30 AM;          Rd 2 - 1:00 PM;            Rd 3 – 3:30 PM           Rd 4 – 6:00 PM. 

Bye:           One half-point bye is offered for any rounds if requested before the start of round 2.

Prices:      $1,230 Based on 50 entries.
                  Master & Expert (2000+) - 1st place $170 Plus Trophy, 2nd place $85
                  Class A (1800-2000) -  1st place $130 Plus Trophy, 2nd Place $65
                  Class B (1600-1799)-  1st place $130 Plus Trophy, 2nd Place $65
                  Class C (1400-1599)-  1st place $130 Plus Trophy, 2nd Place $65
                  Class D (1200-1399)-  1st place $130 Plus Trophy, 2nd Place $65
                  Class E (U1200)-  1st place $130 Plus Trophy, 2nd Place $65

                  Only Kansas residents may win class trophy.

Membership:  USCF Membership must be current for all players. Kansas Chess Association (KCA)
                                membership must be current for all Kansas players. Other states accepted. Both
                                memberships are available to purchase onsite. 

Equipment: Please bring boards, sets, and a clock to the event. Limited equipment will be available to loan
                            per round.
