Sections:

• Rapid State Championship: USCF Rated, 7-round Swiss, g/15d5
  • Entry Fee: $40 by June 13th, $50 on June 14th on-site
• Blitz State Championship: USCF Rated, 7-round Swiss, g/3+2
  • Entry Fee: $40 by June 13th, $50 on June 14th on-site
• $20 discount ($10 per event) for registering for both events by June 1st!
• Higher of your regular or rapid rating will be used for Rapid Championship for pairing and prizes
• Higher of your regular or blitz rating will be used for Blitz Championship for pairing and prizes

 

Prizes:

• Rapid Championship: 1st - $400 & Rapid State champion title, 2nd - $250, 3rd - $150, U1800 - $100, U1400 - $100, U1000 - $100, Biggest upset - $100
• Blitz Championship: 1st - $400 & Blitz State champion title, 2nd - $250, 3rd - $150, U1800 - $100, U1400 - $100, U1000 - $100, Biggest upset - $100

Rapid Championship

June 14th -

• Round 1: 10am
• Round 2: 10:45am
• Round 3: 11:30pm
• Round 4: 12:15pm
• Round 5: 1:00pm
• Round 6: 1:45pm
• Round 7: 2:30pm

Blitz Championship

June 14th -

• Round 1: 4pm
• Round 2: 4:15pm
• Round 3: 4:30pm
• Round 4: 4:45pm
• Round 5: 5pm
• Round 6: 5:15pm
• Round 7: 5:30pm

 

Special Notes:

State Title: In the event of a tie for first place, the tied players will play two g/3+2 games until there is a clear winner. Prize money will be split equally regardless of result.

Byes: Up to 2 optional half-point byes may be requested BEFORE round 1. All byes requested during the event are zero points.

Spectators: No spectators are allowed in playing areas when the games have begun for the day. A designated spectator area will be available.
