Round Times:

  Open

    • Saturday, Registration 9.00 to 9.30, R1: 9.30.00     R2: 1:30 
    • Sunday R3: 9.30    R4: 1:30 

Other Saturday, Registration 12 to 1 PM  R1: 1.30 R2-R4 ASAP

  Saturday Blitz 4+SS (Rated) Registration 4.30 to 5.00 R1: 5 pm R2 to R4 ASAP $10 USCF rated Blitz . Blitz section will be held if at least 10 players enter.

 

  General Information:

The Open is a 4 round Swiss with a time control of 90 minutes + 30 second increment and will be USCF 

Other sections is also a 4 round Swiss played only on Saturday. The time control is 30 minutes delay 5 seconds and is USCF rated, Players in the RBO must be rated under 1600.

The USCF rated  Blitz is also a 4 round Swiss played only on Sunday. The time control is 5 minutes delay 0 seconds and is USCF rated

$10 service charge for refunds.

Additional Information:

  • Players must provide their own chess sets and clocks. Only a few extra sets and clocks will be available from the organizer.
  • Notation paper with carbonless copy will be provided to  Open  by the organizer.
  • Section Merging If a section has fewer than 6 players, sections may be merged. In merged sections, trophies will still be awarded to the top two finisher
  • Onsite changes to the RBO’s round times take priority over the times listed in this flyer.
  • Byes
    • One ½ point bye per player. A last round bye must be requested prior to the start of the 2nd  . Byes for all other rounds must be requested 1 hour prior to the start of the round.
  • Electronic devises
    • FIDE rule 11.3 enforced with regards to electronic devices. No electronic scoresheets are allowed.
  • Spectator Rules
    • No spectators are allowed in the playing hall 10 minutes after the start of the round.
    • Players are allowed to spectate after their game is over.
    • Spectator rules are subject to change.

 Prizes: Open Section:

Trophies for 1st, 2nd    will be provided  Open 2 days Rated.

Trophies for 1st, 2nd will be provided to the top 2 finishers of the U400,U800,U1200,U1600 sections.

The tie-break for the trophies will be decided in the following order:

  1. Common Game
  2. Solkoff
  3. Modified Median
  4. Cumulative
