Join us for the September $1,000 Classic, a four-round US Chess rated tournament featuring $1,000 in prizes based on 40 entries, with prizes increasing above 40 players.

Round Times: 10:00 AM · 1:00 PM · 3:30 PM · 6:00 PM

Premier

• 1st — $250
• 2nd — $200
• 3rd — $150
• Open to players rated 1800+
• Players rated 1600–1799 may play up for an additional $10

Reserve — U1801

• 1st — $175
• 2nd — $125
• 3rd — $50
• Top U1400 — $50 Growth Chess Credit

Total Prize Fund: $1,000 based on 40 entries. Prizes increase with more than 40 entries.

Entry Fee

$50 by September 6
$60 by September 10
$70 after September 10

Entries are capped at 72 players.

Byes & Pairings

Players may request one ½-point bye in any round. Bye requests must be submitted before Round 2.

Accelerated pairings may be used at the TD's discretion.

Refund Policy:

More than 24 hours before Round 1:
Refund minus $5 administrative fee or one-time transfer to a comparable tournament within 3 months.

Less than 24 hours before Round 1:
50% refund or one-time transfer to a comparable tournament within 3 months.

After Round 1 begins:
Entry fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred.
