The Swiss System Pairing System will be used to pair rounds if there are more than 6 players.
Unrated players will be paired among each other in the first round.
1300+ Entry fee $40 registering Friday or before, $45 after Friday,
PRIZES: 70% of registration fees TOTAL
Top U1700 and U1500 may be available.
U1300 $25 registering Friday or before, $30 after Friday, PRIZE: Free registration for top winners (unrated players not eligible for prizes).
Tie Breaks:
-Direct Encounter: Compare the results of the games played between the tied players.
-Number of Wins: Count the total number of wins each player achieved in the tournament.
-Progressive Score: Evaluate the cumulative score over the rounds to see who performed better as the tournament progressed.
PLAYERS MAY NOT POSSESS CELL PHONES DURING THE GAME. Please leave your phone in your car or turned off (vibrate/silent not acceptable) on top of your table. Any violators may be subject to forfeiture.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you do not wish to participate in our tournament after paying the entry fee, please contact us no later than 24 hours in advance. We reserve the right to charge a $10 service fee for cancellations.
WITHDRAWAL POLICY: If you would like to withdraw from the tournament after it begins, please alert the tournament director. NO refunds will be issued after the tournament begins.
NO-SHOW POLICY: There are NO refunds or credit for players who do not show up for their scheduled tournament matches.
